FIAT Punto II (1999 - 2006) - Blaunkpaut?? CD player for 2003 model??

Hi there,

I have recently purchased a Fiat Punto 1.2 Active Sport 03 plate and it has a cassette/radio in, well i do not own any cassettes and want to put a CD player in, does it have to be the same make that is in now - blaupunkt - or can i put any in, because the size of them are quite big and i don't want there to be a big gaping hole.
If it does have to be a blaupunkt where will i find them? and are they easy to fit?

You can put in any make of CD player you want. You may need wiring adaptors or spacers for the installation but that should not be a big problem.
I suggest that you post on www.fiatforum.com in the Punto section where you will find a wealth of expertise on this matter.
Alternatively, visit a local ICE(in-car entertainment) specialist or Halfords for advice.

or about £160 for a 6 player Blaupunkt that Fiat supply that fits in the boot and works with your xisting player.
