Inevitable? 22 Feb 2005 (Forum)
I saw a pristine Citroen SM on the M4 on the way to work yesterday. "Brave man" I thought to be using that for a commute. Saw it again today, broken down on the Great West Road causing a large traffic queue. -

Citroen Saxo (1997 - 2003) - 96 1.5d Flat Start 14 Nov 2014 (Forum)
Sorry to bring this back from the dead after so long but I am getting the same issue with my 1996 Citroen Saxo 1.5D which I believe has the same TUD5 engine. An after doing a google search this is the only post I could fine with the same symptoms. The car starts first time almost in an instant but when driven or reved white smoke comes out of the exhaust, poor idle, hesitation when driven . -
Citroen DS3, Abarth 500, Seat Leon SC - Difficult choices 28 Apr 2014 (Forum)
A completely different drive, smooth, refined, quick, and on balance a more versatile option, this made the decision a little more complicated. Finally into the local Citroen dealer, after reading the reviews on HJ, to test the DS3 (155THP) just to see if it could match the other two. Got to be honest and say I was hoping to be able to elimate it, but the ride and the spec (DSport Plus) are better than I was expecting and proved to be very enticing. -
Citroen C5 Turbo HDi 2 litre - Turbo or what is it 13 Mar 2012 (Forum)
Last July after approximately 2-3 hours driving at 135 –140 k/hour ( 75-85 mph) the turbo power cut out –on a hill ie the engine is under load. No unusual noise & no warning lights. The next morning, engine cold – no problem. The Citroen main dealer said it was ‘either the turbo or the ‘electric valve regulator’ for the turbo & fitted the latter. The problem continued, but after parking the car overnight & re-booting the computer when starting the problem always disappears. -

Citroen Xantia 99/ 6 Spheres - Problems with suspention, quite harsh 22 Oct 2011 (Forum)
I went by the book and made part of the procedures recommended here. Replaced the spheres (all 6 of them original from citroen), LHM and cleaned the LHM filters, but so far no success. I also replaced the break valve due to some noise it was doing when the pedal was pressed. Also checked for leakings and cracks on the hose that picks the LHM from the reservoir to the pump. -

Citroen C5 (2001 - 2008) - 2.0 16V Fuel Economy 18 Feb 2008 (Forum)
Does it just need a good service. If so i may book into Voiture Technique Services in Warwick. A specialist Citroen small garage. Otherwise the car drives and runs fine, no roughness i can see. A little rattle on acceleration from idle but i think one of the steel exhaust shield baffles maybe vibrating (a cheap fix) A average fuel economy of any other C5 2.0 petrol would be nice. -
Inhibitor switch on Citroen ZX Auto box 4 Mar 2002 (Forum)
I'm currently having trouble starting my Citroen ZX Auto in park or neutral, in fact it will now only start from cold in neutral. I've been to the local garages and the best quote so far to source and fit a new inhibitor switch is £115 + VAT! Being a complete skinflint I thought '@! -

What does anyone make of this new Citroen C5 thingy? Didn't Clive Sinclair do the design? Actually, looking at the styling the car reminds me of Barbra Streisand but I can't immagine why, he he. -
Citroen C5 2.0 litre diesel HDi - Engine hunting 29 Sep 2012 (Forum)
One second at walking pace then suddenly a great burst of acceleration then slow again. The engine management light came on on the dash. The RAC arranged for it to go to a large Citroen dealer who diagnosed the problem as the accelerator pedal potentiometer and promptly changed the pedal. I picked the car up and the problem returned within 10 miles. The garage had other ideas what it could be but had an attitude ( which seems the same for the UK Citroen dealers ) of suggesting a number of options and proceeding by 'fixing' each one until the right one is hit! -
