  There is absolutely NO way I can afford this and I have asked the dealers to ring Renault and find out if they can do this work or at least contribute to the cost as it is a known fault (wish I'd known before I bought it!!).   Going to look at a Grand Scenic 1.9 dCi tomorrow (private sale), and just wondering how the Renault warranty works in its third year. The car we're looking at is a 54 plate (October reg) with 35k on the clock and a full Renault service history. Therefore, I assume it is still under manufacturer's warranty until October.

  Wonder if anyone could help out on this one for me. I have an R reg Renault Scenic 1600 with the K7M engine, ally head, cast block. I bought the car with supposedly the head gasket gone, should have been no problem for me to sort as I am an ex Renault technician. I have changed the head gasket and the head twice ( I have changed the head, to make sure there was no internal crack in the head).

  As far as the lease terms go I would have to pay three months 1st payment for each contract. eg: Renault 3 + 11 & Saab 3 + 23. In other words in 12 months time I'll have to pay another 3 months to start a new contract. I do like the Saab for a feel good image (ok, call me a snob) but the Renault is packed with goodies though I am concerned about it being a gutless wonder.
