  Makes me wonder if Warranty Direct simply dont have many Toyota's or Honda's on their books, as the owners probably dont feel the need to buy a 3rd party warranty for cars that have such renowned relability. At the other end of the scale. Audi is in the doghouse. Now this is more damning, because whether Warranty Direct have only a few Audis on their books, or thousands, the ratio of engine failures is terrible.   Friday night, nose to tail traffic on M4/M5 interchange Bristol. One very aggressive Audi TT driver uses every last inch of outside lane to gain max advantage over the queue, seriously hacking off large truck behind him before diving in front of me at the very last moment. TT driver and truck exchange horns, guestures and various unprintable expeletives until they are out of earshot of each other, much to the amusment of myself and my mate.

  My previous prejudices against diesels have recently disappeared after driving various cars which were OK. I have narrowed down my search to Audi A4 2.5 TDI quattro and BMW 330d (both in tourer form). Given that the Jag is an auto, leather, cruise etc, it's got to have all the toys, and having driven both on extensive test drives recently I am 50:50. one half of me is swayed towards the Audi due to its 4x4 for the odd occaison when it may prove useful, but the other half likes the improved performance of the BMW.

  I would like to nominate the VW Passat B6 and Audi A4 for the appalling drain hole blockage problem from the bulkhead scuttle. Water drains down into the CPU which is situated under the passenger floor and unless you are quick the car is a write off

  Good morning Why is it that new car manufacturers like Hyundai offer a 5 year warranty, Honda 3yr & 90K, Merc only 3 yr but unlimited mileage. Why the varaince between car co's if Hyundai can offer 5 years why not MB, BMW and Audi? Rgds,
