• Citroen C5 rear suspension rattle 5 Feb 2002 (Forum)
  My C5 2l HDi has the worst rear suspension rattle I have heard from a Citroen, The 'Fix' I am told is to attach a weight to the rear suspension. Anybody know anything about this problem ?.

  Hi,  Car has cut out and lost power on motorway twice in a 2 months,  Citroen diagnose the fuel filter as the problem, and are quoting £162 + VAT for the part.   Is that a reasonable price for a filter?     Guy

  The pedal went to the floor clutch cable and stayed there, and cant drive it as I can't put it in gear, if it was a Ford it would be the clutch cable but a Citroen! Who knows?

  While draining the coolant from the cylinder block today on my Citroen ZX 1.9D (93) I discovered that the oil level sensor is missing. I'll order & fit a new one but where does it connect to?

  Hi there.. Time to buy a new set of summer tires for my Citroen C3 1.4 HDi (2011). Until now i had Bridgestone Turanza ER300 (which came with the car). Citroen have soft suspension and with this tires i have very bad handling. When i turn at speed, and there is potholes whole rear end become totaly unstable (waving the whole car, and rear end wawing and jumping somehow), few times very scary.

  I jacked up the rear of my citroen (c5, diesel, 2005 model, must be on hydractive III ) to change the wheels, upon completion, the rear suspension would not come down, I am not sure but when it was jacked up, I might have pressed the down button.

  Hi all, The front struts were replaced on the car (Citroen Xsara Picasso 2005 2.0 HDI), and after a while a creaking-scraping noise developed from the front offside of the car. It only occurs at sharp left turns at low speeds, while the steering wheel is rotated.

  How often do my discs and drums need replacing on my Citroen C3? A brake check at Kwik Fit on Saturday revealled that I need both replacing.  They were both replaced by Kwik Fit in 2008 following a service and MOT. In the meantime I have done 40K miles, mainly on the motorway.

    It doesnt seem to interfere with the radio itself but is hugely distracting and irritating. When the radio is powered off, the noise stops. I spoke to the local Citroen dealer to ask about obtaining the radio code, but was told that there is no radio code for this (after they checked against the chasis number).  They want £56 to book it in to run a diagnostic on it to determine the problem with additional repair works potentially coming in extra.

  She was advised to take it to a Citroen dealer who would look at it. She took it to a Citroen main dealer in Northampton this morning, and the car behaved perfectly, and their electronic kit showed no fault. They advised her to bring it back next time, which is only a 35 mile round trip.

  As my daughter has one, (previous posts re. cambelt refer,) I was interested in this latest problem' It seemed that he and his 7 yr old son were reversing out of the drive when the air bags went off, injuring them both. Citroen UK, naturally, weren't interested and the local dealer told them it would cost £3000 to have them reset before they could even try to trace the fault. I think the potential for a fatal disaster here could be considerable.

• Citroen C5 - Foam injection worries 19 Mar 2006 (Forum)
  They attempted to fix this problem by injecting "expanding foam" into the the hollow box sections which run either side of the car under the floor of the boot. Seemingly this was a Citroen approved fix at the time. The can of foam even has a citroen part number. What could i expect the long term effects of this foam to be? Im thinking particularly about drainage or ventilation of the hollow sections being blocked up.
