  I've recently been driving the wife's Focus and found that the AM reception is poor when the engine is running with all sorts of weird interference some of which sounds like some sort of digital interference as opposed to the normal sort of buzzing I've had in the past on old cars with poor aerials. She never uses AM but I like Radio 5 so is there any easy way of improving the reception? The car was bought from a Ford Direct dealer at about a year old and I've no idea if the problem's always existed or something's happened since she got it.

  Iknow it's only atrivial thing and I can switch it off manually ok, but it's a bit of a nuisance having to remember to switch the radio off every time I switch the engine off. Is there some menu setting to activate/deactivate this feature or is it broken ? Would the stereo be covered under the extended (free 3yr) warranty if it is broken ?

  Hi, I?m looking for some information on Ford Radios, namely the latest Ford 6000CD fitted to the latest Fiesta/Focus/S-Max/Galaxy/Mondeo/Transit?. It is not the Sony unit, rather the Ford unit but it is the one with the large CENTRAL rotary volume control.

  I have a 406 with a radio/cd player (I believe it is an Orion) which has a disc jammed in it. It will not eject and will not register the tracks etc but you can hear the mechanism trying to do something. Unfortunately the manual is not much use and I have to assume that the unit is a combined radio/cd player.

  I have a 98 T Renault Laguna and I want to get a new stereo (CD player) for it, because the standard one is a bit naff, before I go shopping for one I was wondering if anyone could answer a few questions for me. 1. The Laguna is fitted with a Radio contol thing, on the steering column, which means you never have to take your hands of the steering wheel to control it (I\'m sure you get the picture) and also the actual cd player doesn\'t have a display, it\'s on the top of the dash (like on vectra\'s).....Would stereos bought today be compatiable with these as I\'d like to keep these features. 2. reading through these forums, what does SWMBO mean????

  Hi, I'm only prompted to ask this question because a radio station that I used to like to listen to in my car has suddenly given up on FM and moved to medium wave. When I was driving my old R5, I could only ever get FM stations, and I put this down to the car/its electrics/the way I'd fitted the stereo.

  When I get to swap my car over for a shiny new one.. will the dealer be bothered that the radio now needs a code or not ? He never actually saw the stereo working, so for all he knows it might have been saying 'CODE?' when he valued the car.   The trouble is that most aftermarket radios I've seen look dreadful.  Tiny multi-function buttons, lurid displays that say "hello" in 37 languages, and "3D sonic loudness equalisation with active anti-distort mode PMPO enhancers" don't really cut the mustard now I'm not 9 years old any more.

  Checked all fuses had em out put em back in can't get a thing. Only way radio will work is to connect both yellow and red to yellow in which case the radio stays permanently on after ignition which I don't want to do as it'll flat the battery. ALso all above things still do not work.
