Airbag servicing? 9 Jul 2007 (Forum)
I'm guessing that this is something that really has to be done but just wanted some opinion from people on it. Does it have to be performed by Nissan or can a local garage or specialist do the same job but a lower price? Chris -
picasso vs almera tino 23 Apr 2007 (Forum)
On paper both the picasso and the tino fit my requirements: MPV, diesel, 3 proper rear seats, good boot, etc. I like the Nissan's reliability and the citroen's engine/ride. Spending up to £6k. Does anyone have experience of both? Thanks for any suggestions. -

Most reliabe small car under £2,000 27 Mar 2007 (Forum)
Hi all, which do you think is the most reliable small car on the road at the moment be it petrol or diesel for £2,000 or less. I was tempted with a nissan micra until my brothers timing chain snapped on his and cost him a fair packet to be sorted. Thanks every-one. Graham. -

Gutless Cars 27 Jul 2005 (Forum)
Reminded me on the unusual sightings thread of one of the most gutless cars I can remember - a hillman avenger 1250, along with the sierra 1300, anybody for anymore? Recently I had the displeasure to drive a nissan people carrier - I deliberatley have forgotten the name, scarily slow... -
Ford Escort estate 10 Jun 2005 (Forum)
Another hard up friend of mine needs to replace their old Nissan and he was wondering what an Escort estate would be like. Is this a good reliable workhorse like the Sierra I once drove? I would imagine servicing and repairs will be reasonable. Xileno has been tasked with finding one; and probably paying for it as well... -
Revised Mondeo due? 20 Jan 2003 (Forum)
This is usually the sign for the run-out of current models. Haven't seen any news of this. There again, the Nissan X-trail auto is selling for £10,500 locally, so it may be that old favourite - rip-off UK prices. -
VW Polo 16 Apr 2002 (Forum)
Announced in the German Press VW are to build Polos in China and reimport them for the European market, they will probably come with a rice an noodle holder.Yaris built in Poland along with Deawoo and the new Pug plant is there going to anything left in the EU.Both Nissan and Renault are planning new plants in the East ,I think people should support Rover a bit more or the UK will have no industry left. -
Design trend - headlights moving downward 10 Feb 2021 (Forum)
Why the headlights in many modern cars started to go downward from bonnet level? Quite a few cars like Nissan Juke, Hyundai Tucson, Skoda Kamiq etc? Traditionally the parking lights were below headlights, where as now parking lights are above headlights in many cars! Is it just a fashion statement or there is some logic behind it? -

Is there enough paint on modern cars? 22 May 2008 (Forum)
In the supermarket carpark today I saw an 07 plated Nissan with numerous scratches round the lock and the white primer showing through the black top coat. Leaving aside the issue of a remote on the key, it seems to me it's easier these days to go through the paint of a car and more common to see a light primer under popular dark colours. -
How to get that cracking shiny look 21 Apr 2008 (Forum)
Yesterday was one of those rainy days when the wet sits up on the surface of well-polished cars. I was wondering if my car (I have a Nissan Almera; not sure if I've mentioned that before) would, even at its advanced years, look good like that. Is there a way of achieving the look which involves the absolute minimum of effort? Thanks. -

Is it worth me fixing the faults before trading it in or going to somwhere that will give you £1500 minimum trade in, or taking it to auction. -
For £5000 should I buy... 18 Apr 2004 (Forum)
3 year old Nissan Almera 1.5 Toyota Corolla 1.4 vvti Frankly the Almera is a bit better looking and I've seen examples with 20k miles for £4500 ! Seems like a bargain to me. The toyotas all seem to be around the 40-60k mile mark. -
VW polo 3 Apr 2004 (Forum)
VW have yet to create a modified part, and other owners have been waiting since September 03 for this part. Anyone got any suggestions other than go back to buying nissans? This is my 2nd polo and I'm quite disappointed with VW's highhanded approach to aftersales. -

UK car manufacturing levels 4 Mar 2004 (Forum)
Someone told me, or I read somewhere, that the UK is currently manufacturing/assembling more cars than ever before. Is this true? I guess it means Toyota in Burnaston, Nissan in Sunderland, Honda in Swindon, Rover in Brum, Jaguar in Cov/Liverpool, Land Rover etc have replaced BL, Ford, GM, PSA, etc Anyone got any facts? -
2nd hand Micra 26 Oct 2003 (Forum)
I'm considering buying a second hand Nissan Micra, the only thing that is currently causing me concern is the amount of miles the vehicle has done. Ir's an R registered car (1998?) and has clocked up 83000 miles, is this more than a reasonable amount?
