  I have already booked an appointemt with BMW approved garage, but knowing what they are & dont have much of a choice .....I wanted some valuable advice from all you vehicle lover's who do take care of their cars.   Your reply would be much appreciated.

  hi everyone, im bob7, i have a p38 dse range rover 1997 with the bmw m51 engine fitted in it, my question is, is there any difference in the manufacturing proccess in the camshaft between the three cars that run this engine as they all produce very different state of performance, is the camshaft interchangeable in all three car manufacturers, can i put an omega camshaft in my p38 as a straight swap ?

   I want to buy a used BMW 5 sries 530d. There is a massive range of cars and prices at the sub 12k end of the market <6 years old. I would love some friendly advice on  whether I should buy a 2007 with 150k miles or a 2005 with 100k?

  Sad news. I suppose it was inevitable. BMW have jumped on the bandwagon of electric cars. I'd hoped their excellent range of diesels would preclude them indulging the fad. Still, at least we won't see any of them trundling around until 2013.

    ... make to the value of a car? I am looking at a Sep '08 BMW 1 Series at a BMW dealer, mint, low mileage, full history, three owners: Owner 1/ BMW - demonstrator Owner 2/ Jan '09 to Feb '11 Owner 3/ Feb '11 to Apr '11 - apparently his circumstances chganged and he needed a larger car.

  Hello, my mate as the 05 plate 318i 2.0ltre petrol bmw. He just took it to a local garage for a service and they said because it went over the service limit they can't take off the service indicator? They said it must go back to bmw for this to be done?

  I see one of the car supermarkets is selling un-registered, but old model 5-series BMW's at a considerable discount to the current model. Does anyone have any information on these cars. I understand that they are the result of over-production. If so, have they been standing in a field for five years.

  Some one is offering me a BMW 320 estate. G reg, 140,000, BMW service history to 90,000 then small garage stuff (always BMW parts he assures me). He's had it 5 years. Looks good, sounds good but interior a bit scruffy (couple of rips in the velour).

   YTOu could buy a BMW at a dealer with FSN at 45k miles and its only had two oil changes - ridiculous.  Some independent specialists religiously follow BMW service schedules and some do not, so even quality varies amongst independents.

  Can anyone advise please? I have recently changed by 2010 BMW 320i Touring for a new 2013 model - same spec. I have a set of BMW supplied alloys and winter tyres for old car but can't use them on the new vehicle because the tyre size has changed from 225/45 R17 on the 2010 model to 225/50 R17 on the 2013 car.
