    Also is it safe to use an oil extractor on this engine - when I push the dipstick in I feel some resistance after a few cm, does this mean a sump plug only job?  I wiyuld like to do the job myself ( using genuine Renault filter and Elf oil ) as I feel 18k is to long to let this motor go in between changes.

  Ciao from Italy. Im over here now as is my father, who has the latest model Renault Espace. It is nearly 5 years old and has xenon HID headlights. One of them blew on monday, so he went to local official Renault garage who diagnosed a blown bulb. Price of a new BULB only was e385.
