  My old nieghbour`s xsara has devolped a strange steering problem I have never come across. Driving in a straight line the car will suddenly turn to the right or left even though the steering wheel is central. After correcting the direction it continues to drive straight and then it will occur again.Very Scary.

  Hi, I have just taken posession of a 4L jeep cherokee with gas conversion. Since getting it home after 3 days the battery is discharging every time I drive it. The gauge show about 14 when driving but after leaving it about an hour it seems to drain. I am replacing the battery today so will let you know .....   regds prew

  Hello My car has been playing up.   I have a Vauxhall Astra N reg which has the above alarm fitted. However it's playing up badly and keeps going off, even when I'm driving along!   My wife's car has developed a clonk when driving out of the drive and sometimes over speed bumps or on uneven roads.My mechanic has had a quick look but can find nothing obvious (yet !) .If anyone has any ideas would they kindly let me know. It was fine when MOT'd in early April.

  my girlfriend has been giving a mk4 vw golf 1600 for work use.....it appears how ever you drive it the revs sort of hang there when you change gear...making you look like your a really bad driver is this normal that the revs hang up like that...i know vectras do it is there a knack to driving them?

  The Opel Combo van has a problem - the pipes serving the PAS pump have corroded and therefore fluid has run out. Mechanic has checked it out and said OK to drive - but not for long distances. My question is - if its ok to drive for short trips, why not longer trips? I realise steering will be alot heavier, but is that all?

  Just had 20k service, no rattles or squeaks, no extras, like it more every day, now getting 40mpg daily on mixed driving, front tyres look like i'll get 25k out of them, backs are down to 7.5mm they could do 50k or more. If you want a 4x4 cheap and haven't had one out on a test drive get it booked in now.
