  a neighbours car has been damaged overnight by a friendly local. They threw a wrought iron gate from a couple of doors down onto the car bonnet. Has the car owner got any way of claiming against the gate owners house insurance policy (as it was their property that did the damage) to recover repair costs, or is it a 'put it down to experience' type situation?

  As there is the potential for 400 - 500 amps how come it does not shock when you touch both. My own explanation ios that the volts (12 - 14) is not high enough. But how does this square with the arguement that it is not volts that kill it is current. And if it is not volts that kill why are USA on 110V for safety?

  hi i bought a saxo about a month ago and ive noticed that the rear demister doesnt work.... i think ive found the problem... one of the connectors on the back window is not connected but on closer inspection the connector the plastic part has melted a little?? what should is do to fix this? ive checked all fuses and there ios one thats wrong ampage... its got a 20a in instead of a 30a?? im new to cars and driving and im pretty scared of wiring it back up incase it melts it even more? what should i do?

  my sharan diesel is running badly. at low revs its fine but when i ask for full throttle the turbo comes in and out. i found a small hole in the waste gate vacume pipe and have since changed this. the waste gate linkage seems to move ok. its not seized. i have had a new air mass fitted and its been on the vag computer and didnt show any faults. the mechanic said could be the turbo but at the prices they are i need to be sure.

  Mrs B is supposedly on her way from Leeds to Manchester Airport, but cannot exit her housing development as the power is off and the only access in or out is an electric gate at the end of the driveway, which is also off, and shut. Surely there has to be some maual override to open it from the inside? Tricky to be hugely specific about the make/model of the gate, it gets pulled open by a telescopic bar at waist height on the inside when you waft a tag near a sensor oa pad outside, that´s about all I can remember.
