  • Any - In car cameras 24 Mar 2015 (Forum)
Can anyone recommend a brand of camera for in-car use. There seems to be a lot of cheap ones around on auction sites at the moment, just wondering if they are any good. I want one that records as soon as engine has started and stops when switched off, with a reasonable picture. Thanks

I was travelling towards the M3 in a 70 limit. The lights changed, I slammed on the brakes and came to a stop a few feet over the line. The camera flashed twice, probably showing that I was in the same place on both photos. Do you think I will get done? Thank you!
  • Speed Camera Thread - Volume 52 26 May 2010 (Forum)
For the continued discussion of all things pertaining to Speed Cameras. This is Volume 52. There is no need to repeat anything since earlier volumes will not be deleted. But then if we only posted original stuff the backroom would grind to a halt in a fortnight. ;o) A list of previous volumes
  • VOSA Speed Camera Vans 15 Sep 2008 (Forum)

  • m6 spec speed camera's 21 Mar 2010 (Forum)
they not know what spec camera's are or do they not have the self control to drive at the stated limit. some must have been at well over 70 mph. also, is the changing lanes so that the different camera's cannot catch you correct or is that a myth or does that actually work.
  • Average speed cameras. good or bad? 11 Aug 2009 (Forum)
i have noticed a lot of motorway roadworks now have the temporary speed limits. i prefer these to the single fixed point camera as they seem to slow down the traffic for a greater distance and you don't get the person stamping on their brakes because they have seen a 'gatso'. what i want to ask
  • Swindon - No More Fixed Cameras 1 Aug 2009 (Forum)
After the news yesterday, that Swindon is to stop the use of their fixed speed cameras, but continue with police mobile units, there was an interesting follow-up on BBC Teletext. Apparently stopping the use of their 5 Cameras will save them £250,000 a year out of their £320,000 road safety budget
