Like most Subarus, it has four-wheel-drive, operated via a selector lever to help cope with slippery terrain. And, being a Subaru, it's a serious set-up - it may look like a shopper's supermini, but the Justy was always a tough cookie when it came to the white stuff. The vendor is very honest about the car's condition. -
Unrestored 1971 Series II E-type set for Salon Prive sale 24 Aug 2017 (News)
And it could fetch between £65,000 and £75,000 at the Salon Prive sale, which will be held at Blenheim Palace on 2 September. The UK-specification right-hand drive E-type was built in August 1970, and was delivered to dealer Charles of Pirbright, where it remained in the showroom for five months. The car was then sold to its first owner on 7 August, 1971, which makes it one of the last Series II Fixed-Head Coupés to find a home. -
Sir Basil Spence’s Lancia to go under the hammer 24 Aug 2017 (News)
But Spence was also a car enthusiast and purchased the Lancia Flavia Vignale in April 1963. As one of approximately 40 right-hand drive UK examples, the car was priced at £2350 - a considerable sum at the time. It is believed he bought the car as a gesture while he was working on his design for the British Embassy in Rome. Finished in Newmarket Grey, the car wore Spence’s private numberplate, BS 1066 (not included in the sale). -

Timewarp Mercedes SL for sale 23 Mar 2017 (News)
Having covered an average of just 34 miles a year over its 28-year lifespan, this 500SL is said to be in ‘timewarp’ condition, completely cherished from new with flawless black paint and unmarked cream beige hide. A 1989 right-hand-drive UK-supplied car, it is also one of the last R107s produced – the model range was completely replaced by the R129 series in the same. First launched in 1971, the R107 became the German carmaker's second longest running production model of all time. -

This BJ8 is an original, right-hand drive manual car that has covered 56,000 miles in 50 years. The car was restored one year ago and given a bare metal respray in Golden Beige Metallic. The car is estimated to sell for between £75,000 and £90,000 when it goes under the hammer at the NEC, Birmingham. -

Measuring 12.5 metres long and three metres in height, the car uses a Eurofighter Typhoon jet engine, a cluster of hybrid rockets and a Jaguar V8 to drive its rocket fuel pump. Also on the stand will be two former police cars – a Morris Minor Panda car and an S-type Jaguar. There will also be a Jensen 541R and a Hudson Straight 8 Special, which is one of only two 1939 models made at the Acton plant before the factory was recommissioned as a munitions factory. -
