Audi Q7 - Recurring flat tire (3) in the same wheel from sto 26 Nov 2019 (Forum)
Could my tire replacer be doing something dodgy? What should I be asking them to look for? Should I take it into an Audi centre? I am not car savvy, and worried I'm being taken for a ride. -
Bought car.. 22 Nov 2018 (Forum)
When I bought the car I noted that it needed a service for the DSG clutchs & the Haldex 4 wheel drive system, the selling garage was not an Audi dealership & i agreed that I would bear this expense & have done at a Audi Inside of my choice. So cut a long story short when I collected the car from Audi they informed me that the car has 2 decats pipes fitted in place of the secondary cats & it should not have passed an mot as its missing irrespective whether or not it passed the BET test! -
New car dilemma 10 Sep 2017 (Forum)
Also, with disels now becoming less PC, future taxes are a possibility, so I would only consider an EU6 compliant car. Do I simply avoid all the worry about diesel and bite the bullet and buy the Audi which is available in petrol V6/V8 ? Trouble is, I like the look of the Merc a lot! I'd also be interested to hear any alternatives proposed. I'd also be interested to hear of ownership expereince of the Audi A7/S7. -
Audi A3 Sportback - Parked car hit by another driver... 1 Jul 2016 (Forum)
The car was parked legally, I was not in the vehicle and the other driver has accepted full responsibility. It was a 2015 plate Audi A3 and the garage reckon it may be a write off as the driver has actually pushed the front left tyre towards the back of the car but "can't confirm until we've informed the insurance companies". The other drivers insurance have paid for us to get a hire car until we either get a courtesy car from the garage repairing or until we settle negotiations if it's a write off. -
Accidentally scraped/scratched car in car park 29 Nov 2015 (Forum)
I only made light contact and when I had a look at my car there was only a small scrath with some paint that came off. My car is a silver golf and the car I touched was a black audi. My car didnt have any black paint on it so I dont think any paint came of the audi, only from my car. I went to have a look at the audi, it didnt seem so bad there was a small scratch with some of my silver paint. -
Audi A3 Cabriolet - How to deal with possible fake jobs?? 1 Oct 2014 (Forum)
I really hope you can help and advise on this as I'm due to go back into the main dealer and sort this very soon.. Audi Main dealer messed up and didn't bolt on my water pump properly after a cam belt and water pump change. To compensate me for this bad service they agreed to do the DSG gearbox oil change and Aircon service FOC. -
Audi A3 + S3 (1996 - 2001) - 2000 1.8T - Shuddering/misfiring - Help! 23 Feb 2013 (Forum)
He checked the fuses and concluded that there is a good chance that the EMU unit may need repaied OR replaced and Audi are the only ones that could do this. He was so sure of this that he never charged me for any of his lenghty tests, and I duly chugged to the dealership...Not looking forward to that conversation in the future... -
Audi A6 Allroad Auto 2.5 Tdi Quattro - Suspension/Steering 31 Mar 2011 (Forum)
I puchased a 2005 Audi A6 Allroad during October 2010, from Evans Halshaw. An onging group of problems cannot be resolved. 1) The suspension air pump cuts in regularly during a journey (or when stationary), even with the suspension on the lowest setting. -
Audi A6 + RS6 (1997 - 2004) - multitronic gearbox 16 Feb 2010 (Forum)
But I have not found anything in your site which specifies the obvious problem that exists with this otherwise excellent gearbox. My car car has just turned 100,000 miles since October 2001 and tomorrow it is going back to the Audi agent hopefully to receive another "fix" to the gearbox....this will be its fourth. From memory the first gearbox was replaced completely after around 30,000 miles, and subsequently it has had at least two input shafts fitted at approx 20,000 mile intervals. -
Audi A4 B6 (2001 - 2005) - 03 1.9 Cambelt replacement warranty/ liability GEN 30 Jul 2009 (Forum)
Hi, In Aug 2006 I purchased a 130 TDI Avant from a used dealer. As the car had done circa. 59K miles I asked him to get the cambelt changed by the local Audi specialist mechanic he used before handing the car over. This he duly did and charged me around £250 which was itemised on his final sales invoice. Around a year later however I got my car serviced by the same independent mechanic and he called to let me know the cambelt was due a change. -
3 year Audi servicing deal is not what it appears 29 Jul 2009 (Forum)
Interestingly when I asked the cost of an oil change it was £150 and if done at the same time as the "inspection sevice", which is the prefered option by most, the total cost comes to .....£250. So what I paid for was an upfront service with no discount...methinks that Audi are being more than a little disingenuous. I'd be interested in anyone else's experience of this or similar offers. -
Audi A4 B7 (2005 - 2008) - Is this too good to be true (i.e. a scam?) 27 Sep 2007 (Forum)
Chap selling a 2006 AUDI A4 AVANT S LINE QUATTRO 3.0TDI AUTOMATIC for less than £13k. I answered ("email the seller") his AutoTrader ad and he has replied that he's in Austria (business went bust) and can't get any price for a r-h drive car from local dealers. -
The Audi is 2.... 27 Feb 2006 (Forum)
- and I think it may eb too expensive anyway) Mazda 6 estate 2.0 diesel (but no auto) Ford C-Max 2.0 TDCI (auto is torque-converter and will sap performance) Audi A4 Avant 2.0 - might seem the obvious choice but still expensive and I might as well have the Golf or the Skoda as the engine is the same. I always enjoy helping others on this forum in choosing a car, so have fun on me this time. -
Considering a Golf 1.8 20v GTI 1998-2000 9 Nov 2004 (Forum)
Found it very hard to fault the rest of the car however. I actually consider the plastics in the golf to be better than the 1998+ audi a3 and bmw 3 series compact (latest one), with the audi coming a close second. Also I have heard about premature cambelt failure at about 70k-80k, surely the cambelt change should be before then, anyway? -
Audi A4 Coolant Loss 23 Jun 2004 (Forum)
Ok here goes the tale. I recently noticed that my 1996 Audi A4 110bhp TDI was loosing coolant fluid. On inspeciton I foudn that it seemed to be boiling off at the top hose to the radiator was too hot to touch, but the radiator was cold. Having searched the net I replaced the expansion cap as a starting point but no change. -
Audi 20V - oily exhaust 8 Mar 2004 (Forum)
I've just bought a (very cheap) Audi Coupe 20V, 1991, 128K on the clock and no history. It runs beautifully, except that it is blowing unburnt engine oil out of the exhaust. Oil is accumulating inside the tailpipes and dripping onto the ground at rest. -
Audi Coupe - Strange Vibration 31 Jul 2002 (Forum)
Hi All, I have had my 1990 H-Reg Audi Coupe 2.0 litre for about a year now. Ever since purchase, I have experienced a vibration through the steering wheel at speeds of roughly 55-65mph. To illustrate what I mean, if you remove your hands from the wheel at these speeds, you can see the wheel "wobbling" about 3 inches each way, although the car remains straight. -
best handling estate car? 1 Jul 2006 (Forum)
Any views or experince on which estates are fun to drive? Is it possible? How about Accord Tourerr? Volvo v70's Audi A6 Quatrro? -
Car build quality = reliability? No. 10 Jul 2005 (Forum)
Why, when VW and Audi cars are supposed to have good "build quality" do these manufacturers appear near the bottom of recent reliability tables?
