  Family friend has in the last 3 weeks bought a secondhand Renault Scenic 1.6 from a car supermaket in Devon. Car is a 02 with 70k and came with cambelt change. Car is now with Kings of Taunton ( franchised Renault dealer) who have diagnosed a nylon sprocket( should be metal) with partially stripped teeth and non Renault cambelt as the cause of the ticking noise that was first noticed last Friday.

  I booked it in at the Renault garage in BOLTON. But as the alarms were clear ( reset by the RAC)  they could not find the fault. The alarm is ON now and i will NOT allow the RAC to reset them.   PLEASE ANYBODY GOT A IDEA??

  I see from the tv ads that renault are about to launch a full range of electric cars. Well as a previous renault owner, I would say that mechanically they're pretty strong (turbo diesels excepted) but, and its a big but, electrics wise they're hopeless.

  Hi, A elderly friend has a much loved Renault Fuego which he has owned from new that is fully road worthy and in perfect condition despite being 20 odd years old. But he's after some new tyres. It has as from new Michelin 200/65/R's on Renault alloys and it looks like he can not get any 200 width rubber.

  I was stopped at the side of a house today due to roadworks in the village i was working in and noticed the driveway was full of Renaults. There was an Alpine GTA, an Avantine, a Vel Satis, a Megane (S1) convertible, a 25, a Safrane and a late model Laguna parked on the road (daily driver?). Quite a collection, though unfortunately (imo) there wasn't a 16, hey ho!.

  I have a 2004 renault laguna and when you stop the car and turn off ignition and remove the keycard the left indicators flash and wont go off unless you remove fuse for the hazzard lights. can anyone help

  As the title says.  I'm interested in finding out whether the current model Renault Megane (actually, a 2010 model to be precise) with a 1.5dci 110PS engine is chain or belt cam?  HJ's reviews say the Laguna 1.5dci is a chain cam - is it the same in the current Megane?
