• Auto Renault struggles after idling 28 Feb 2005 (Forum)
  I've got a P reg, automatic Renault Laguna 3.0 v6, when waiting in traffic or at lights when I pull away the car struggles briefly then is ok. It's as if the acceleration doesn't kick in straight away or the brake is stuck - any ideas what it could be?

  As pointed out in the Forbes article posted on the thread, Renault are considering legal action against the driver for damage to their corporate reputation. I don't think HJ would thank us for being on the receiving end of a similar action so for safety I've pulled it.

  The garage have indicated the cam belt would have been changed at next service. I want to repair my car and I want Renault to cover the costs of the parts. Is this something I can argue the case for. and are the garage and/or Renault responsible in any way for the failure?

  At the end of last year my Motorhome (Renault master base) . Would not pull away and after spending over £800 was told it was the fuel line that was split - which they duly repaired and all was well for the month I drove it. It was then in storage over winter.

  Ok so the wife has a pretty reliable mk2 Renault scenic. It's been Ok for years but as age kicks in its starting to pull some annoying little problems out of the bag.  The child locks in the back are electric and tied to tthe button that stops the rear electric windows from working.

  Mine has a oval connection with flange but everywhere we look online has a triangle one with flange. The only place we can find one is straight from Renault. Who say its £600!!! All the ones on eBay etc... Are about £130. What can I do? Why is it oval on mine but none of the other models the same? Where can I get one other than Renault? Any help/advice would be much appreciated Thanks

  My Focus TDCi estate goes back in September and I have a choice of one of these as a company car for the next four years: Toyota Avensis 120D Comfort Cross Sport; Renault Grand Scénic Expression Energy DCi110; Renault Laguna Grand Tour EMotion DCi 110 Eco2; Ford C-Max 1.6 TDCi 115 Trend (The model designations are for the Spanish market). I've ruled out the C-Max as it's too similar to my Focus Estate and has the lowest trim level but am torn between the two Renaults and the (British built) Toyota, which are also at the bottom of the range but seem a little more upmarket.

  I have a Renault 2001 Clio Dynamique 1.5 DCi. Very economical car with a decent engine. The only frustrating aspect of the car is the continuing problems with the headlights. The Renault dealer where it it was purchased from fixed the problem on the Offside but the nearside is now causing problems.

  Have just taking my Renault Laguna for service in Germany,two extra problems Headight out cost ?160(mugged by Renault)the other problem ABS light sometimes come on .The problem was a section of the ABS wiring had been repaired at some time with electricians connector block on one side and through crimps on the other.Themechanic had never seen such a botch job in his life,when I told him it had only been in Renault garages in the UK during its life as a lease car, he found it hard to believe no matter who was the culprit can you understand the mentality of someone who would do that to the brakes as a repair.Also the so called reputal garage where it was bought with its 60 point safety check.Needless to say I shall be having words when I return to the UK.

  Our renault megane hatch has done 13,000 miles in just under 3 years.  There is a howling noise from the gearbox when the car moves off, especially on an incline. The warranty expires 23.10.10. The local renault agent has diagnosed that it is a "squawking clutch" and that it won't let us down.
