  a small oil leak has developed at the front near-side,a Citroen mechanic tells me it is oil leaking through the turbo & dripping through the inter-cooler, he says it is normal,i didn`t think motors had oil leaks as normal is he kidding? tee jay. moved over from Discussion - Year and Engine type please ?

  hi can anyone shed any light on the problem i have with my citroen C5, sometimes when i try to start it up it assumes im trying to pinch it and puts the immobilizer on, i have to wait for about a minute lock then unlock the car before it will start. has anyone else had this problem, if so is it a simple fix or have i got to put my house on the market.

  Needing a replacement for the old escort estate. I've been looking at a Citroen Dispatch van, 2006 plate 2.0HDI with 22k miles. Any tips or things to watch out for? I tend to keep my cars until they're ready for scrap, do all my own maintenance etc and need a van that isn't too big and can carry 2 off road motorbikes.

  A nice easy question here for somebody, I have a few spare sump plug o ring seals for a citroen zx 1.9d (93) & want to know if these will also fit the transmission oil plug? If not can somebody advise where to buy one cos I've searched high & low without success & don't want to remove the plug (which I believe is leaking) until I have a replacement seal for it.

  I have recently changed over the brake pads on my Citroen ZX as the braking was becoming spongy. I pushed back the piston and inserted the new pads, retaining them with the clips, plate and pin, following the re-assembly instructions in the haynes manual to the letter.

  Am the owner of an 04 berlingo Hdi, the van mostly runs fine but has days when it totally lacks go- has been into Citroen under warranty, twice they plugged it into diagnostic comp to no avail, last time reloaded software into management system which seemed to work for a while, but is now back to it's usual gutless self; does not rev freely and struggles to reach over 60, am considering getting rid to save my sanity-any ideas?

  Greetings, I'm new to this forum so feel free to put me right. I have a 1998 4 door citroen Xsara with a door problem. The rear drivers side door fails to open either from the inside or using the handle from the outside. I've taken the panel off inside and tried in vain to get it open. Any ideas how I can get the door open?

  Hi, can anyone give me some advice ahead of my weekly battle with my car. I have changed the therm. switch, therm valve, coolant fluid on my citroen and still it overheats. I have even gone to the lengths of using an easi-bleed system to get airlocks out of the system. I have bridged the switch on the electric fan and it works - what am i doing wrong??

  Following the link on the RH side of the page it seems that Citroen are offering three grand cash back on a Picasso INMHO this means that the car is overpriced by three grand to start with and that the advertised price is so much baloney! Reminds me when we used to stick a stripe on the side, a sunroof on the top, call it "Special Edition", ramp the price up by a grand and offer the mugs £1000 minimum p/x on literally anything as long as it didn't need feeding or taking for walkies!

  Having problems with the Citroen Xantia Keypad Immobiliser. This started after car standing for a week. I type in the correct code when the red light is flashing, the green light comes on but the red light fails to go off and the engine is still immobilised.

  Despite the claims of around 40 mpg I am only seeing around 29 - 30!! The garage tellme I will have to wait 3 - 4 thousand miles for it to bed down and give me Citroens claimed figures. Am I being taken for a mug? Or is this reasonable for a diesel engine? I must say that at these figures I would rather have bought the V6!
