  307 HDi 2.0 02, I would like to charge my battery to see if it helps with my starting problem as posted previously, what is the correct disconection/reconection procedure? will i have to reboot the BSI unit as described in other posts? might there be any other issues?

  The dealers could not find a fault. Shortly after this the emmissions warning came on again and the battery went flat. The dealer claimed 2 unrelated faults and replaced the battery and "fixed" the sensor on the camshaft. The emmissions warning light came on again and a couple of days later the car would not start (flat battery) the dealership are struggliung with this fault.

  The charging light has come on permanently and all charge has now gone from the battery. Had the alternator replaced within last 2 months and wondered if this is the fault? Last week the charging light was on intermittently but the problem miraculously cleared. Any one had similar experience or can offer advise?

  Anyone see that article about the factory in Canada I think it was that is involved in the production of batteries for the Prius a few days ago? I havent seen a post on here about it although maybe I missed it. I couldnt believe the pollution that place had caused and I think any Prius driver would want to be thinking twice about buying on on an enviromental basis!

  Folks, An alternator overcharge problem I had back in the spring has cooked the batteries. The Monterey/Trooper has two. The Vauxhall Trade Club are advertising 72/80, 85/88, 92, and 100ah GM "GO" batts. for decent prices. They have 100ah (BBMS019) and 100ah (BBMS 249). What's the difference between these two?

  My daughter has a W reg Saxo and recently the steering went stiff, I had a new power steering relay fitted which solved the problem short term. The other night her battery had gone flat and so she got a bump start and came home, the following morning the battery was dead flat and so I took it off and charged it, thinking she had left her lights or the stereo on for longer than she should (you know what young girls are like) Any way the battery drained again within a few hours and so I bought a new battery, that too drained overnight and was so flat no lights came on even on the panel.

  Unsurprisingly then, this morning - given it was cold as well - it would not start, and the AA diagnosed the battery as being flat. The advice was to start and run the vehicle on the drive for 15 minutes each day. My father doesn't want the hassle of a trickle charger that means connecting / disconnecting to the terminals every time he wants to use it, and rather than start the car every day, I'm wondering if there are any other devices that work through the 12V socket that would trickle charge the battery all the time.
