Vauxhall Monterey Battery Question - rg
Folks,

An alternator overcharge problem I had back in the spring has cooked the batteries. The Monterey/Trooper has two.

The Vauxhall Trade Club are advertising 72/80, 85/88, 92, and 100ah GM "GO" batts. for decent prices.

They have 100ah (BBMS019) and 100ah (BBMS 249). What's the difference between these two?

Is more "ah" better, or does it damage something? I have two Lucas 72ah at the moment, around 590 CCA each..

And will these all fit?

Any observations, recommendations, suggestions welcomed.

AH = "ampere/hours" and is a measure of battery capacity and effectively size. CCA = "cold cranking amps" and is a measure of battery power-the higher the better.

Thanks. Much as I thought. I guess that the physical dimensions will be the same.

Meanwhile...

Any ideas on this one?

There can be many differences. The main ones are for different terminal types and layouts. It's important to match these up, especially to double check that positive and negative aren't transposed.
