Display of 'modern bespoke' vehicles set for City Concours 22 May 2017 (News)
Only thee Barchetta variants were produced, making it one of the rarest modern Ferraris in existence. Underneath the bonnet is the Ferrari 550’s 5.5-litre V8, but the bodywork has been the subject of a five-month makeover. Also on display is the one-of-seven Touring Superleggera Disco Volante Spyder. Using an Alfa Romeo 8C as its base, this handcrafted model is finished with a dramatic and retro-inspired body that takes 10,000 hours to complete. -
BMW M635 CSI goes for record £100,100 at auction 4 Apr 2017 (News)
A UK, right-hand drive, 1973 Porsche 911 2.4E Targa sold for £95,150 - more than £45,000 over its lower estimate. A 1996 Porsche 911 (993) Targa Tiptronic S sold for £37,400 - more than £12,000 over its lower estimate. First production Lotus Elite for sale 19 Jul 2016 (News)
The very first production Lotus Elite, bought new by jazz legend Chris Barber, and recently restored for Channel 4’s For the Love of Cars, will be auctioned by Silverstone Auctions at the Silverstone Classic sale on 30 July. This 1958 Lotus Elite Series I, chassis 1009, was displayed at the 1958 Earls Court Motor Show. -
Crews gear up for Peking to Paris rally 19 May 2016 (News)

Honda event to get drivers out of 4 wheels and onto 2 9 Apr 2014 (News)
The sessions will teach basic skills and help build confidence, with participants starting on a ‘twist & go' scooter and, if their instructor thinks they're good enough, working up to a 125cc geared motorcycle. The idea is part of both Honda (UK)'s and the wider industry's drive to make it easier for people to try motorcycling. Figures reveal a total of just one million taxed motorcycles and five million license holders in the UK; pointing to around 55 million who are yet to enjoy the many benefits involved from holding a motorcycle licence. Sessions will be held in groups of up to four people in the safe and secure environment of Donington Park, in Castle Donington, near Derby. -
Sabine Schmitz to join the Group C grid at Silverstone Classic 16 Jul 2013 (News)
Over the past decade Schmitz has made appearances on Top Gear – most memorably when claiming all she needed was a Transit van to beat Jeremy Clarkson’s best lap time around the fearsome Nordschleife in a Jaguar S-type diesel. It was a challenge she only just failed to master in a later show. As well as being a television personality both in the UK and Germany, Schmitz is also a notable racing driver. Indeed, she was the first woman to taste victory in a major 24-hour race when winning the Nürburgring 24 Hours in 1996 – a feat she repeated the following year, too. -

Toyota Claims Lowest Whole Life Costs For Prius Plug-in 24 Jul 2012 (News)
Toyota states there is no other car on the UK market that exactly matches the benefits offered by its Prius Plug-in Hybrid Synergy Drive full hybrid powertrain: it offers the near-silent, zero emissions performance of an electric vehicle, being able to run on its lithium-ion battery for around 15.5 miles (v/s 30 miles for the Ampera) and at speeds up to 51mph. When battery charge runs low, the car’s full hybrid system – which includes a highly efficient 1.8-litre petrol engine – takes over, so the driver doesn’t have to worry about whether the car has enough power to reach its destination. -
