  A friend of mine owns a 98 renault laguna. The haynes manual says that to change the brake fluid i need a special renault diagnostic tool. Is it not possible to use a pressure bleeder or more traditional methods, or do i need to go to the renault dealer?

  We bought the above car from new two years ago last feb, loved the car in March the big ends went in engine,it was under warrant Renault replaced the engine, then the turbo went less than a week later Renault replaced the turbo, then the turbo went again less than a week later,renault replaced the turbo again, then yes turbo went again, this time Renault replaced turbo again, much to our amazement, and something to do with the cat, and offered us £125 renault vouchers as a "gesture" which we were very disappointed at and didn't accept, and now, two weeks later, turbo has gone yet again so back to the garage it has gone, over the last 3 months we must have had the car for 3 weeks in total fumes and all- what can we do, have lost all faith in car, surely it must need another new engine, we are totally fed up and to be honest don't want the car back now- any one know what we can do if anything?

So far, it’s quiet and comfortable, has 200ps and is doing c50mpg with a mixture of motorway and extra urban driving. It’s continuing Renault’s adoption of Android Automotive, so you just treat the centre screen as s tablet and give it voice commands after saying ‘Hey, Google’.

  Hi all, My first post here so be gentle :-) Ok, so my problem is with a renault clio (06 plate). I've had a small issue whereby it stalls when it's idling (only when it's cold), but as soon as its warmed up a little its fine. Then last week the clutch began to slip a little but not all the time.

  Hello. I have recently bought a 2000 Renault megane 1.4 16v. I was told when I bought it that the cambelt had been replaced recently by an independant garage. I do not have the receipt, but was assured that it had been done. As the engine was running rough, I took it to a local renault specialist, who checked the cam timing.

  I have a 2002 Renault Cleo CDi which has developed an intermittent loss of power. I might be cruising along quite happily when suddenly the power drops. If I change down a gear the power will return followed by a white puff of smoke from the exhaust.

  I know this is a car orientated forum but I'm desperate for any sort of help. I have a 2001 Renault Mascott 5.5t RWD twin-wheel minibus with diff problems. I'm having trouble locating a rear axle as these are pretty rare. does anyone know if an Iveco axle would fit ( just guessing really as the engine etc. is renault badged iveco, not renaults own ).

  Since then we have taken the car to a Renault dealership and had diagnosis and found it to be the turbo and intercooler. We were quoted £2000 for parts and labour. We are waiting to hear from Renault Customer Service to see what assistance they can give.

  Dear all, I have a 3 year old Renault Clio 1.4i dynamique+ (new shape) which has just decided to play a practical joke on me in that it has broken down 15 days out of warranty. Renault garage say that one of the four coils in my engine was at fault and that all four had to be consequently replaced at a total cost of £200.00.

It made mw wonder how they can produce this car for so little - about £3500 although closer to £5000 apparently for Western European markets.   The air distribution dial on my Renault Clio 1.2RN seized at 17,400 miles when the car was two-and-a-half years old. There was no warranty cover and Renault UK would pay only 75% of the repairs leaving me with a bill for £120 for a new heater box (total cost £480).
