GTI International Coming Up On 4th-6th July 18 Jun 2014 (News)
As at last year, the main event will be the quarter-mile drag race. Here, visitors to the event can 'run what they brung', testing the acceleration of their cars against the clock on a real drag strip with world-class timing, watched by a crowd from the 3,000-seater grandstand. The strip will also have demo runs from many of the country’s top tuning companies, as well as members of the Volkswagen Drag Racing Club. One highlight will be Paul Jordan’s four-wheel-drive Scirocco 20VT that can cover the standing quarter in 8.95 seconds, hitting 150 mph. -

New Entry Level Racing for Renault Clio Cup Cars 17 Dec 2012 (News)
Renault UK, the BARC and Michelin have announced the launch of a new entry-level race series for 2013, that enables circuit novices and track day drivers to enjoy some real competitive racing relatively cheaply. The Michelin Clio Cup Series with Protyre is aimed at providing a professionally run, cost-effective first step into saloon car racing. It is expected to run across four events in 2013 with the potential to become a fully-fledged championship in 2014. Based around the third generation racing Clio, as currently run in the sister Renault UK Clio Cup, the new series will become the home for existing 2.0-litre Clio Cups when they are replaced by the new 1.6 litre turbo cars in the British Touring Car Championship-supporting category in 2014. -

Retro Classics 2017: Stuttgart show to honour racer Roland Asch 23 Jan 2017 (News)
Now Retro Classics Stuttgart will honour the 66-year-old racer with a special display of his cars at the show, which runs from 2-5 March. Asch, a trained mechanic, began his career in slalom races and hill climbs during the mid-1970s. His first race in the German Touring Car Championship was at Hockenheim in 1984. -
