An unwarranted mileage 98S Grand Voyager 3.3 automatic sold for £8,075. A 31,000 mile 99V Zafira 1.8 Elegance automatic, again with 7 seats but not much space for luggage sold for £9,050. And an unwarranted mileage 2000W Mercedes Vito 2.2CDI 8 seater taxi started uncertainly at £6,000, then bid all the way to £10,000. -

The sales started fairly slowly with a mixture of repossessions, part-exchanges and previously unsold fleet cars. A 27,000 mile 98S Daewoo Lanos 1.6SX 5-door automatic, unsold on Wednesday, went for £3,500 and a much tattier 37,000 mile 98R 1.6SX 3-door auto for £2,475. Alfa Romeos were out of bed a bit with top bid for the 11,000 mile 99S Spider in the photo just £9,750. -

New V6 Engine For Big Vauxhalls 16 Feb 2001 (News)
GM has announced a new 3,175cc 24 valve V6 engine for its Vauxhall badged Opel Omega models. The new engine, available with automatic transmission only, puts out 217PS against the 211PS of the outgoing 3.0 litre V6, but torque is increased more significantly from 199lb ft to 214lb ft (270Nm to 290Nm)at 3,400 rpm. Top speed of the car is 149mph, 0-60 8 seconds, combined fuel consumption 23.9mpg, CO2 emissions 284g/km and Emission Class Euro 3.

On sale this spring, the Mazda CX-5 model range will feature an 18-strong line-up with prices starting from £21,395 and rising to £28,795 (OTR). The Mazda CX-5 will be offered with a choice of two engines with three power outputs (2.0-litre SKYACTIV-G 165ps petrol and 2.2-litre SKYACTIV-D 150ps or 175ps diesel), manual and automatic transmissions, 2-wheel drive (2WD) or all-wheel drive (AWD) and four equipment levels - SE-L, SE-L Nav, Sport and Sport Nav. Four petrol and six diesel models will come with 2-wheel drive, while all-wheel drive will be available for eight diesel models. Prices for 2.0-litre petrol versions start from £21,395 (OTR) for the CX-5 SE-L and rise to £23,995 for the CX-5 Sport NAV.

2020 Kia Sorento revealed: large SUV goes upmarket 18 Mar 2020 (News)
In a first for the Kia Sorento, the new model will initially be offered as a hybrid, combining a 1.6-litre petrol engine with a six-speed automatic transmission, 1.49kWh battery pack and 44.2kW electric motor. Providing 230PS and 350Nm of torque, the brand says this 'combines low CO2 emissions with high levels of performance', although exact figures are yet to be announced.
