Serious Electrical Fault after 12 months, dealership pretty hands off

I've had the golf 12 months, if you would like to use it as a city car then it would be great but even the latest model with a range of sub 100 miles in the cold is pretty useless for anything else.

It's recently come up with a warning light, the vw dealership said its a serious battery issue, they will have it for some time and have not really given me much of an update, although after pestering them for 3 days I did finally manage to get a car form them.

I've heard the Id3's are having a lot of issues, I'll be avoiding VW electric cars for some time
