Does the job just fine

Changed from a Skoda Fabia as Skoda won't be doing a hybrid/BEV small car anytime soon, and got a good P/Ex from the dealer.
After 1700 miles, averaging 64mpg overall, with urban journeys over shortish distances easily at 100+mpg when driven sensibly.
Ignore the gripes about the ICE flaring on acceleration. Driven sensibly, it's never an intrusion once at motorway speeds.
The intelligent adaptive cruise control + lane keeping assist works well most of the time, and the MyT App is both informative and helpful.
Yes, the rear doors are short on depth, but for grandchildren and their car seats it's OK.
Downsides - the lack of any tie down points in the boot - fundamental for a car with SUV aspirations in my view.
- I agree with the other reviewer that the lack of any interior light at the B pillar is an omission, and smacks of penny pinching.
Overall, however, delighted with the performance, comfort, general practicality and the service from Toyota.
Having run the car for around for 6 months now, the long term mileage has increased to 70mpg, with specific period in between fill-ups often showing in excess of that.
By way of an update, the car sailed through its first service @ 10K, and thus extended the warranty by a further year.
After 15K miles, although the mpg dropped a little over the winter period, the year to date mileage is still showing at a shade under 70, and monthly consumption often in excess of that figure.
