Nissan Qashqai (2007 - 2014)
1.6 Tekna dCi
Excellent and practical car but with some annoying minor faults
Bought for slightly higher seating position/ better view. I chose it over Mazda equivalent because of quicker delivery time. I find it very economical (>50 mpg most of the time). The camera systems are very helpful for parking, but I wish it had parking sensors. I like the stop/start system most of the time, but when in slow traffic I disable it (you can do that by turning on the windscreen demister!) as it is annoying to keep restarting the engine when you are in slow moving traffic.
My only real criticism would be that I find the control buttons e.g. for the aircon/heating, the satnav, the whole in-car information system, too hard to see when driving. You have to turn your head away from the road to look at them. They are too low down and too far to the left to be easily usable by driver when alone.
Oh, one other criticism: it has 2 clocks which do not keep the same time, and have to be separately adjusted. The one on the dashboard is very tricky to change the time on. This is very silly!
