Best loved car my wife and I have owned

Now March 2018 and the Note has covered 126000 miles with hardly a fault. When we bought it the mileage was 26000 miles. It is used mainly for commuting and shopping with average journey distance no more than 10 miles. We drive to North Devon about once a month distance 150 miles. The engine is a little noisy just after starting compared to a petrol car but once on the move it is the quietest car we have owned. Ride has been very good and comfortable but the front passenger seat becomes a little uncomfortable after more than 2 hours. MPG is outstanding at 59.9 when commuting. Reliability and built quality is also exceptionally good. Performance is perfectly adequate for todays traffic and motorway speeds are easy and refined. Repair costs have been only what should be expected ie 2 sets of brake pads and discs, 4 sets of wipers, 4 sets of tyres and 2 drive belts, I do my own servicing annually and the parts cost between £60 and 70. It has survived 2 low speed accidents caused by others driving into it. Extensive front damage and a rear quarter were quickly and perfectly repaired. It failed the MOT last September for the first time due to a broken front suspension spring. Hardly surprising considering the poor roads and speed bumps here. The suspension has just started to become clunky over rough surfaces and I expect to have to change the shock absorbers very soon. It is a very practical car. The sliding and folding rear seats have accommodated everything we have tried to load and the grandchildren love it - it is bright yellow and has kept its paintwork very well. No sign of rust yet. I expect to see 200,000 miles in this car.
