OK family car with signicant caveats

Bought at 3 years old and 16000 miles from a main dealer as a quick buy to replace my 9 year old vw which at 175000 miles was starting to rust spot. I loved that VW. Almost a year in and 16000 miles the Kia is ... OK.

The good;
The kids love the extra space of the larger car, and the higher driving position gives good visibility.

The bad

Mpg advertised as 61mpg, actually 42.6 on the trip computer, so far from advertised that driving it was rinsing me and has made me want to drive less due to the cost.
The bluetooth is really poor, with my Samsung phone it stuttered , cut out etc , it got shouted at a lot, until what must have been a samsung software update seemed to fix it significantly.

The drive feels a bit disconnected and leaden, and the clutch has a strange biting point that makes it hard to change gears smoothly.

The kids still love the extra space, but I do not think I would buy another Sportage and will drive this for a few more years and then change.
