1.8i V-TEC Si Auto 5dr Hatchback

Very smooth automatic gearbox, good performance, great handling, very practical

I bought this car new although I was intending to purchase a car a few months old. But as I got a £2500 discount, 4 years 0% finance and 4 years free servicing it was a better deal than a used car. The automatic is very smooth and the performance is great, throttle response good and steering feel much better than my previous Leon FR DSG auto so arguably better to drive as you can place the car in corners. The ride is also much better than the Leon and not uncomfortable so that was a bonus I didn't expect after reading other reviews. Rear visibility is fine for me as I am 6ft 2" tall (there is also loads of headroom and legroom behind me ) but even my wife who is average height says visibility isn't a problem. The rear spoiler blocks out headlights behind you at night which is great !! The car is incredibly spacious inside and until I looked at the Civic I was considering an estate car for our dog, but this hatchback has more rear legroom than a Focus or Astra estate.The magic flip up rear seats are unique. The Leon had better lumbar support but this car appears better finished and the dashboard is great!
