A very pleasant drive

I like this car. Although it has less performance than the C-max it replaced, it is much quieter and more comfortable. It has features that are useful, but not gimmicks. It is not exciting, but it's only a small car, and we have saved a good amount on the insurance. That said it will get past that lorry. The main Ford feature I particularly like is the heated front windscreen.

There is only one downside, the fuel consumption, about 40 mpg (7.0 l/100 km). This is because it has a conventional automatic gearbox, and only 4 speeds, although it does slip into a "5th gear" (overdrive?) above about 45 to 50 mph. However it can struggle on steep hills of which there are plenty in the Pennines.


I am sure that some petrol heads would look down their noses at the humble Fiesta, but my wife and I find it perfectly adequate for everyday comfortable motoring.
