Overall reliability

definitely worth a look. unbeatable for the price.

We bought this firmly on price- not being badge snobs we found the top-spec sandero diesel some 4-5k cheaper than the equivalent diesel fiesta/corsa. its the cheapest brand new diesel you can buy bar none. The laureate version comes with cruise control, trip computer and air con which are all worth having.
To drive, its fine, a nice supple ride, seats are comfortable enough, what is surprising is just how well it pulls. the 0-60 time doesn't tell the whole picture. mid range pick up is astonishingly good and it feels more like a big car in its high speed cruising ability than a supermini.

Interior space is incredible. enormous boot and genuine room for 5 adults, enough headroom to wear a hat.
Fuel economy is amazingly good. everyone says cars won't do what the manufacturers say, but this comes damn close. on a 60mph motorway run on cruise control its reached 78 mpg.
The satnav/media player is very good and foolproof to use.

The only things I have found to be slightly critical of are as follows.
carpet is very thin, mats are a must to prevent wear I think.
rear parcel shelf very flimsy and unlikely to last the life of the car.
if you are driving "enthusiastically" it does understeer a fair bit. in normal everyday driving though not a problem.

I am a total convert and would definitely have another.
