The very acceptable Dacia Sandero

I bought a Sandero to replace my 2014 Nissan Micra. I went to the dealer with the intention of buying a Clio but I drove the Sandero as well out if curiosity. I actually preferred the simplicity and higher driving position of the Sandero to the Clio and I bought one. I think it drives better on the open road and motorway than around town. At around 40-60mph its excellent, very quiet and comfortable.

Its a little heavy around town and the gear change is a bit clumsy but overall its good to drive. The seats are comfortable but are the base is not long enough to support the legs. There is plenty of head and legroom front and rear. The boot is large and easy to access although you have to use the key or lever inside the car to open it. Good stereo with great sound and the blue tooth is simple and works well.

Things I don’t like, there is a sharp piece of plastic on the boot lock that can catch your arm if your closing the boot.

No spare tyre. Paint looks a bit light and is prove to chips and the body panels prone to carpark dings and dents. The manually adjusted mirrors work well but its hard to adjust the passenger mirror from the drivers seat.

I’m happy with the car and surprised at how good it is.
