HDi 160 Tourer Automatic Exclusive.

A delight I intend to keep for as long as possible.

I bought this lovely looking estate car new through the internet and was able to get a £7000 discount which was roughly similar to that offered by its main rival, the Ford Mondeo. The Mondeo was within a year of being model upgraded (although I was not aware of that) which probably explains their large discount. I ticked most of the boxes for extras but omitted the sunroof and leather vibrating seats. I now regret not including the leather seats because I get so much pleasure from the car. The front parking sensors are very useful in addition to the rear sensors because it is otherwise quite difficult to judge distance. The ride on the hydractive suspension gets appreciative comments from passengers and my very difficult to please wife. I feel well protected in the car with its numerous airbags and even a Citroen automatic emergency services alarm in the event of a crash. The Sat Nav and jukebox features can be controlled by voice input but it is tiring to master that and I mostly control them manually. The voice system on the built in phone is excellent. The car is a good load carrier and the rear seats fold down and up again in a precise manner. The rear door opens electronically but the control is only available from the key fob, there is no switch inside the car. The electrical system has a device to prevent the battery running down to a low charge state and this seems to cut out rather early so that if the radio is turned on while parked with the engine off, the car goes into economy mode after about 30 minutes.
Nothing has gone wrong with my car so far. I like this car very much and do not anticipate wanting to change it before it is 10 years old.
