4x4 with 7 seats but should have bought the Mitsubishi

Bought to replace a Zafira but we needed a car with AWD to cope with an unadopted road.

Limited numbers of cars that fitted the spec of 7 seats and AWD. The three variants all with Mitsubishi Outlander running gear - Citroen, Mitsubishi and Peugeot. No Pug dealer close and it was ugly. Mitsubishi not interested in selling cars and Citroen offered the best deal on an in stock Code - effectively a VTR+ with some bling and leather.

2 seats in the rear are occasional only but down or up there was good space. Drove well with 2.2 PSA unit. Unfortunately this was only available on the top spec Mitsubishi, otherwise it was a poor VW 2.0 version. MPG OK but we don't do huge miles. Reliable except for dreadful aftermarket alarm fitted for UK import - always going off and generally build quality is a bit plastic for a car that cost £24k new.

Dealer mediocre - a couple of goes at the alarm and then were not interested - Fox in Harrogate were just not up to selling this sort of car which looked like a range filler rather than something Citroen were serious about.
