Used SUV automatic - Honda CR-V or Kia Sorento?

I need to buy a used SUV to tow my caravan. I only cover 6000 miles a year, on short journeys, but would prefer an automatic. I like the Honda CR-V (2010) due to reliability, but read mixed reports on the petrol automatic. Would a Kia Sorento suit me better?

The Honda CR-V petrol auto is not strong enough to pull a caravan. really, you need a diesel for that. But a life of short runs from cold starts is likely to create DPF trouble, even though I have yet to receive any reports of this of the current shape Kia Sorento, which only comes as a 2.2 diesel.
