Need an economical 4x4 to tow a horse box - what do you suggest?

I am looking to buy an economical 4x4 that needs to be able to tow 2000kg, but also double up as my commuting vehicle - I do around 50 miles a day for work. I have around £10,000-£12,000 to spend. What should I get?

If you can find a post 2010 KIA Sorento 2.2 manual diesel or Hyundai Santa Fe 2.2 manual diesel for your money, that will do the job and get 35 - 40mpg.
