I want a genuine part fitted under my insurance claim.

I want an OEM replacement windscreen but insurance company want to fit a cheaper aftermarket windscreen as the car is nearly 4 years old. As it's a Mercedes-Benz I am saying no, due to auto lights and rain sensors. Mercedes-Benz says it will invalidate the used car guarantee if none Mercedes parts are used.

Can I insist that ins co uses MB offical parts?

If you insist on the MB screen then instead of being a windscreen replacement that does not affect your NCD, this will be treated as a crash damage claim and it will affect your NCD and future premiums.
