CVT Reliability on a Nissan Micra

Trading in a Vauxhall Agila with 66K in good condition FSH, owned by me from new. How much can I expect to get?

Buying a new Nissan Micra Acenta CVT for my next 10 years motoring.

Has there been any problems or reliability issues reported with the new Micra CVT or is it too early to tell? I buy my cars for 10 years so I am considering whether or not to wait twelve months to see how reliable this new model is.

None yet, but you are right. It is too early to tell. They are most prevalent in Thailand where they were launched in April 2010, but since 30% of Thailand is flooded any results from there would not be a true test. Generally, CVTs are much more reliable than they used to be. Very little trouble in the Honda Jazz and now Toyota has moved into CVTs big-time: in the IQ, Yaris, Verso S, Avensi, Verso and even in the RAV-4.
