Will I get an insurance discount for passing an IAM Roadsmart test?
Last September, I completed a voluntary IAM Mature driver assessment, the overall result of which was "excellent". I am 78 and wonder if my insurers are likely to look favourably when giving me a renewal quote.

We would certainly advise contacting your insurer to inform them of the result of your assessment as this may result in a reduction on your next premium, but not all insurers will take this into account. When it comes to renewing your policy we would suggest using comparison websites where you can usually add that you have passed an assessment, go direct to insurers such as Cornmarket and Adrian Flux or contact the IAM for any recommended insurance providers.
