The clutch on my 74 plate Renault Captur has failed at 6500 miles Should the warranty cover it?

Generally speaking, clutches are considered a consumable part in that they will eventually wear out and need replacing, so they are not typically covered under warranty. However, it depends on the nature of the failure and the fact that it has failed at such a low mileage may mean it is covered. We would suggest checking the terms and conditions of your warranty documentation, but according to Renault documentation available online the clutch disc is covered under warranty up to 24 months/60,000 miles, whichever comes first.
