  32 Years of Mini Cooper S at Next Historics Auction 10 Jul 2015 (News)
  Historics Classic Car Auction at Brooklands on 29th August will feature Mini Cooper S models from 1966 and 1998, and a 1987 Mini Mayfair for resto offered at no reserve. The 1966 Mini Cooper 1275S in Almond Green with white top is unusually restored to original standard appearance on steel Cooper S wheels. Suspension is factory hydrolastic, but the engine has been stripped, reconditioned and mildly modified with LCB manifold, RC40 single silencer and new 1.5" SU carburettors with pancake air filters, although the original 1.25" carburettors and filter housing are included in the sale.

  Volvo Starts Production of New Four Cylinder Engines 13 May 2013 (News)
  Together with driveline electrification, VEA replaces the previous eight engine architectures on three different platforms. The new engines will be introduced between 2013 and 2015. Almost 20,000 engines will be produced in 2013, and by the end of the year the production pace will be 2000 units a week. The first variants will be fitted to the Volvo S60, V60, XC60, V70, XC70 and S80 in autumn 2013.

  Ford's scrappage scheme incentives are available on the Ford Fiesta Van, Ford Transit Connect and the iconic Ford Transit.   Silverstone Auctions' NEC Classic sale raises £2.7 million 18 Nov 2013 (News)
  The sale also saw a number of modern classics go under the hammer, including a 1986 Sierra RS Cosworth that was formerly owned by Cosworth’s co-founder Mike Costin. The fast Ford fetched £27,600, while a 1985 Ford RS200 sold for more than £10,000 over estimate, reaching £105,800. As with all classic car sales, there was also a large collection of automobilia on offer, with the stand out item being an ex-Ayrton Senna race suit which was sold for £13,000, Additionally, Silverstone Auctions even managed to raise £1500 for BBC Children in Need by charging £5 entry fee to the sale.

  100,000 reasons to use Real MPG 4 May 2016 (News)
  .  The 10 million tonne spike in CO2 is the equivalent to an additional 5.4 million new cars on Britain’s roads - which is the same as the emissions from every new car registered in 2014 and 2015 combined.  The main reason why new cars have performed increasingly poorly is because, from 2015, car manufacturers have been fined by the EC if the corporate average CO2 emissions of their cars exceeds 130g/km according to MPG and CO2 laboratory tests.
