  Aircon has been charged.H*y*s manaul no use ! Nothing is blocking the exterior vents. Is their a pollen filter which is blocked? where is it? fan seems to been in passenger footwell area.User manual only refers to dealer.I cant find another owner with climate control.

  It\'s offical the Mondewoe is going. But what do I have instead? It has to be Japanese, I think?, its going to be second hand and cost less that £4K, so what do I go for? It must be large enough for the family holiday with 3 boys, the oldest being 13 (soon) and the youngest 9 (soon).

  Back in the 1970's when my parents bought their first estate car, you could get a "dogmaster divider" which split the load area lengthways - half for your pet, half for luggage. They didn't get one however- just a full-width dog guard.

  There is a good level of oil but I am wondering if, as its probably been in there for 10 years/124,000 miles, it has less lubricating effect. Ford say you should never need to change it, so is it something more (mechanically) serious? What oil should be used if a change is recommended?,Do I have to use FMT?. It,s a 1993 model (with no extraneous noises from gearbox).

  I have a 18 month old Ford Ka and the engine has started to accelerate unexpectedly. When I brake to walking pace and then change down to second, on releasing the clutch the car accelerates away. I have to keep my foot on the brake when in a 30 zone to avoid speeding.

  But more than that, beyond cars, attitude affecting life experiences. I can remember my father buying one of the very first calculators in the ? late 60`s or early 70`s? it cost around £70. Or about 2+ weeks wages, only to see them become almost free during the working life of that model. Then a rich mate who bought one of the very first clunky digital quartz watches for £300 in the early 70`s only for it to be an expensive museum piece a few months later.

  I have an Audi A4 S-Line on a 55 plate. The heater is now blowing out cool air. Can you help? I've had the air conditioning on most of the summer.

  It is reported today that Electric scooters may be allowed on roads with perhaps a max speed of 16mph quoted.  Presumably these silent machines will also find their way onto pavements and cycle paths.   Do the things even have brakes let alone insurance?  This sounds like a very bad idea to me from both a motorist and pedestrian perspective!

  Had a trawl through Forddirect and Autotrader websites for a newish Focus/C-Max. They are anything up to 17k with most around 15k. I'm sure similar age cars were going for nearer £12k a year ago. Seems to me prices have gone up, not down.

  Hi, I am new to the site, but am looking to take out either a blue or silver BCA card. I will only be buying about six cars a year max. Will either of these cards gain me any advantage, or cost saving in terms of buyers premium etc? Any advice would be most welcome.

  Had my 2.0l / '99Focus' oil changed at a "rapid fit" place. checked the oil it is over the max mark on the dipstick by about 4mm, will this cause any damage, i need to travel about 25 miles to get back to the "rapid fit" place to get it drained will this do any harm? cheers

  I am very disappointed that my request for a 'proper' test drive was refused, so we will be limited to a max round trip of about 6 miles, on roads which will give us no opportunity of driving legally at 70 mph. The staff have, apparently, no discretion on this matter.

  Went into a VW dealer yesterday looking at used Beetles. Salesman with silly hairstyle approaches me and directs me to the used Beetles. S - Feel free to go in and have a good look round it B - Has this one got aircon S - Yes B- Tries handle, I can't the door is locked. S- No its open, all the cars are open. B- Its locked S- Comes round, tries handle, yeah its locked, I will get the keys.
