  Anyone chipped (or know someone who has) the 130 bhp 2 litre ford diesel engine and if so willing to give me some decent feedback. I'm considering doing wifey's X type estate, cos we use it for long journey's with 2 dogs. I suppose i'm trying to have my cake and eat it i.e. diesel economy and some poke.

  I'll give you a list of the cars I've been looking at so far so any comments on them with regards to what I'm looking for would be much appreciated, particularly if any tall drivers have experience with these cars. My dad has a Ford Focus which I have never had a problem with but I'd ideally like something a bit smaller. I'm not too fussed diesel or petrol. Here's what I've found: Golf 1.6 S FSI 52,000m 3dr £4,500 and a 5 dr for £5,250 Peugeot 207 Hatchback, 1.4 HDi S 5d 2007/07 £4,700 - now I think this one is a very good price although the ad doesn't give the mileage.

  Hi, I'm after some advise/recommendations for vehicles that suit my requirements. I currently drive a 2015  diesel astra K which I used for commuting to work as I had a 70 mile round trip each day. About 3 months ago I moved much closer to work but my commute consists of stop/start driving. • Astra L reg 1.6SE oil change 16 Oct 2003 (Forum)
  I've just changed the oil on my 1.6 Astra 8v engine. When putting the oil in I made sure it was spot on the max mark - started the engine, let the oil circulate and checked again - it was two inches OVER the max mark. I assumed this was just because I'd moved the car slightly after filling the oil and was checking again on a slight slope (the car on a very slight camber and went on a brief test drive).
