  Watching an episode of Grand Tour about the death of the Ford Mondeo and the family sized blue collar car itself as horrid top heavy SUV’s and prestige brands took over left me thinking about what was the greatest affordable performance car of all time? I loved the big spoilers and huge TURBO badges of the 1980’s, the daft digital dashboards and the school canteen bragging rights of those whose dad owned one but which one was the best?

  Kindly if you could give me some advice would be greatly appreciated.  I am trying to decide between buying either a 2015 Audi A3 5 door or a 2015 Hyundai i30 5 door both used, with around 50000 miles done. I am inclined towards buying the Audi because it is a solid manufacturer but from what I understand the cost of maintenance, servicing and parts are quite high which is an important factor for me.

  Just a quick question regarding getting the water pump replaced. I have rang Ford and asked how much it would cost to replace the water pump in my Ford Focus 2010 Zetec S 1.8 Petrol. They are quoting me nearly £500 but I rang a local garage from fixmycar.com and they quoted a rough estimate of £168.00.

  Hi everyone My fiancee and I both have S reg Ford Ka's. I recently took them both for a service (non-Ford garages) and in both cases the mechanics had extreme difficulty in removing the spark plugs. They both (two different garages) explained that there is a design fault on the Ka that means that water that gets under the hood corrodes the spark plugs.

  Hello, Well as the Dacia plan did not work (part self employed and new rules for financing) we are now saving up for a used MPV. Seeing plenty of the S-Max/5008/Mazda 5 around (all in the same ball park pricewise but most going over 100,000 miles) but maybe considering a larger van based MPV for business use as well as a family bus. Had a Jumpy as an interim emergency hire car last year and was not too bad really, pretty car like just brand new and everything was a little stiff and BIG!

  Had engine management light come on did code read came up as p0420,=faulty cat,faulty lamda sensor or faulty wiring,local exhaust co removed exhaust found half the cat missing(internally)nissan want£800 for front cat,got aftermarket for£350 fitted with a mate(mechanic)engine light reset ,came on again,replaced lamda sensor can only get gen nissan£198 fitted another reset,light came on again,same code,had emmissions test done exactly same readings as last two mot"s,had test on lamda sensors on oscilliscope both switching fine,more cost,tried four garages,no one seems to want to know now as its no longer just a bolt on,even my local auto electrics co say they cant help,spent a fortune car now only worth about £2500 max trade in ,HELP ANYONE?

  Fuel rail pressure is 1000-1200kpa and every thing else seens o be in order except Air mass flow sensor wich shows about 144g/s wich i think, but am not shure, that it's extremly high for an engine that doesen't run.  The car has no codes stored. Please help!
