  I'm happy with the tyres, they appear to give a good compromise of grip and tyre wear, however they must be the noisiest tyres I've ever had on a car! So, I'm happy to have P6000's refitted, but thought I'd ask if anyone on here has any other suggestions? Cheers! James

  I have a 1994 escort diesel van with a broken gear box. I have managed to get a S/H box from a 1996 escort diesel van. But the clutch relese bearing wont fit as the box nose is to big,It has a plastic sleve on it and sems to be about 1mm to big. motor factors cant help as thay come up with the same bering as I alredy have.Anyone know of this problem?

  I do some work on my cars so know a bit about bearing/shafts, so my immediate thought was wheel bearings. I took apart the n/s left hub and the bearing is fine. The o/s bearing also appears ok with a simple test on the wheel for play/grinding, all seems in good shape. Next, wondered about brakes - front brakes also seem fine, not stuck or obstructed that I can see.

  My dad has had a 54 plate C-max since Oct last year. Until this weekend, he didn't realise that you were supposed to be able to open the boot without using the remote button on the key! The manual explains that when the car is open, pulling on the release on the boot exterior should open it, but it doesn't!
