Ford Escort (1993 - 2000) - 98 1.6 snapped spring and creaking noise. 25 Jul 2009 (Forum)
Also the noise is also apparent when turning the wheels with the front of the car on axle stands. The noise appears to be comming from the o/s, this afternoon I was replacing the nearside wishbone and found that the n/s spring has snapped up near the top. Everything on the o/s seems to be fine. So questions. 1) Could the creaking noise be because the o/s spring is taking extra weight? -

Trailer - Do I need operators licence to tow trailer ? 13 Nov 2020 (Forum)
So I read from the Gov.uk website that I need an operators licence just to tow this trailer, not only that but need to upgrade my licence, that;s not so bad, but to have an operators licence you need an operators centre of operations! No wonder so many drive inadequate luton vans! These vans only take 1 tonne max, they are rubbish. -
The £25,000 question 29 Jan 2020 (Forum)
I’m a mid-20’s single professional male looking for a new (or used) car but I just cannot find one perfect for my situation. My budget is max £25k, normally go for something with less than 10k miles on the clock and less than 3 years old. -
Er..hoping for advice. - Used 7 Seater for £8k-£9k (with usable 3rd row?) 10 Apr 2017 (Forum)
My optimistic wishlist includes an occasional-use 3rd row which can fit rapidly growing teenagers over the next few years (only 12 now but growth becoming measured in MPH). Anyone have any opinions? Looking at Galaxy, S-Max, Grand Scenic, 5008, Verso, Mazda 5 and, well, anything really. Final desire is not *too* old, 2011+ if possible but that might be too much to ask :) Thanks, -
Cold weather makes havoc of fuel economy 9 Apr 2013 (Forum)
My S-Max (diesel auto) has averaged 33.4mpg since the day it arrived with 11,000 miles on about three years and 29,000 miles ago. I reset the trip computer when it arrived and after a week or so, it settled down to 33.4mpg and has not moved from that unless I have done a very long day of motorway driving which has pushed the average up by a couple of notches, only for it to drop again within a couple of days of regular urban use. -

Winter driving and tyre pressures 20 Nov 2001 (Forum)
s contact area and therefore grip. They reduce tyre pressures by up to 75%, this is obviously a bit drastic and also extremely dangerous on normal roads and speeds. Is my logic off the mark here and is it that it's completely unintuitive and that increased tyre pressures are actually better ?
