Octavia tyre speed rating 14 Mar 2005 (Forum)
The car is a 1.9 Skoda Octavia TDI, max speed 113 mph (181 kph) I'm looking at replacing all four tyres, so I want to shop around. The required tyre size is 195/65/R15, and the current tyres are all 'V' rated, which goes up to 240 kph (The ratings are S=180, T=190, U=200, H=210, V=240) The Michelin web site suggests H rated, and I may well go for that, but not necessarily for Michelin tyres - V expensive and quite noisy by all accounts). -

My indicators and hazards dont work on my fiesta zetec s x reg. They flash when i set my alarm. The stick works cuz my liggts turn on amd off fine amd all fuses have been checked. Could it be a relay ?? -

A query for any Ford experts out there. What is the correct fifth gear mph/1000 rpm figure for the C-Max with a 1.8 petrol engine? On my wife's example it is around 20, which seems a tad low to me. I'd have expected something closer to 25. -

One tester got out of the Focus swearing blind it was the Golf because of its weighty, solid feel. I thought I was going mad saying the S-Max I drove recently was as well made as any VW I've driven, but it seems if improved Ford quality is an illusion, I'm not the only one falling for it. I know Hyundai have had moments of brilliance before (with the Coupe mainly) but it's nice to see them properly challenging the "establishment". 3 grand cheaper than a Golf model for model too. -
Built in Sat Nav overpriced? 8 Nov 2006 (Forum)
Since then, the cost of sat nav units has plummeted together with all things electronic so you can get a NavMan in Tesco for under £100. However, if I want a sat nav in next year's Ford S Max, it is still going to cost £1500! That buys an awful lot of electronics these days. I appreciate that car manufacturers hope that a built in sat nav continues to have a certain cachet but I for one thing it should be included in the top of the range cars in the way that Honda do with their Exec Accords and CR-Vs. -

Hi, Wonder if anyone can help, Im loosing it. My EML light came on last April `09, independent garage changed ignition coil - genuine Ford part. Fault developed again in Jan this year, they advised me to take it to Ford Garage then they replaced the coil pack, paid for spark plugs. End of March fault developed again, they replaced the coil pack once again and advised the fault happened because the sparks has not been changed previously. -
