Ford C-MAX (2003 - 2010) - 04 1.6 tdci Total Excellium Diesel 11 Feb 2009 (Forum)
After about 100 miles I started experiencing sudden loss of power which could only be rectified by pulling over and stopping for a couple of minutes . After the problem occured more frequently I took the car into my Ford garage who after putting it on his computer got the report that there was water in the contacts . He found the contacts on the ERG ( the thingy that recycles the exhaust to clean it ) were wet and the filter was also. -

Hi there. I bought a 65 plate (registered in September 2015) Ford Focus 1.0 125 Ecoboost at the beginning of February. I like the car but have been looking at the Volvo V40 (looks great). How much of a trade in do you think I would get on my Focus (2000 miles on the clock) -

Volvo V50 (2004 - ) - 2.0d - any good, and a few questions? 11 Oct 2015 (Forum)
They do piffling mileage, and really should be going petrol, but my father-in-law has always driven diesels, will always drive diesels, and really there's no point even going there. We've done the discussion to death, and a diesel it will be. AFAIK, this is the same PSA/Ford engine as used in the new Mondeo / S-Max / Focus, and the Pug 307/407. Is that correct? I know a few people with high mileage examples of these engines (in different cars) that have had no issues at all, so if it is the same engine, I'm happy. -

Audi a1 sport or Ford Fiesta Ecoboost s line - Can’t decide what car to get need help 1 Feb 2020 (Forum)
However, that roof blinded me to the fact that the car had 55,000 miles (59 now) when I bought it 1 precious owner bought from Brand new) and it’s already took a huge chunk off the value of the car. So my question is - should I sell it for a 2019 Ford Fiesta Ecoboost 1.0 S Line in Magnetic, Black or Frozen White. They have got everything I want in a car and I can get a 2019 one for about 12,500-13-900 (been looking on car wow, Auto trader etc any suggestion would be great) as brand new they are like 23,000 no chance lol I would be paying in cash the excess from my Audi too My no interest or anything? -

Buying a bike 13 Jun 2004 (Forum)
I know there are few bikers out there, and I'd welcome their thoughts on what to buy for general commuting (50 miles/day max) and occasional fun. I have a full licence, also an old R80 BMW, but it's becoming rather high maintenance, and I'd like something lighter with brakes that work! I'm not ruling anything out (except perhaps scooters), but there seems to be huge void between 125's and 600's, with the exception of one or two 500's. -
Overfilled Oil 31 Mar 2004 (Forum)
I then dipped it and found that the oil level is 5-6 mm above the MAX mark. I am aware what damage can be caused by overfilling etc, but how far over the MAX mark should I worry about it, is there any acceptable margin for error? PP -

Ford Focus Engines 22 Jun 2006 (Forum)
I am currently looking at a Ford Focus estate for a new company car and have a few questions Why has Ford appeared to have replaced the PSA 1.6 diesel with the old 1.8 ? (I know this has been covered in a topic on the C-Max recently but if anyone knows any more it would be much appreciated as I have a mental scar with Ford diesels dating back 10 years to my first company car, a 1.8d Escort) How will either engine compare to the 1.9 Tdi 105 ? -
Ford Focus - Ford Focus 2015 1.5tdci Blown Head Gasket 27 Jan 2021 (Forum)
When I would undo the coolant cap, when cold, a huge rush of air would escape and cause the coolant to drop. Also had dark discolored coolant with soot particles. Took it to Dees Of Wimbledon Ford Dealer, and they (without investigation) said I need new engine for £8,000,told them to stick it. Went into local garage and they suggested could be oil cooler, egr cooler, or head gasket. After investigation they changed egr cooler.
