  My wife can't cope with the automatic handbrake on her C Max Ghia and has difficulty using it for hill starts She wants to change the car even though she loves everything except the handbrake.   We really like the engines and reliability. The options for our rather niche requirements seem to be Toyota Verso or possibly a Ford S-Max. (I am not bothering to consider the Zafira.)  Otherwise it's only a Mitsubishi Grandis which is rather old, or indeed  an imported Honda, like an Odyssey (which drives very well.)  She wants something roomy but not enormous, ie. not a Previa/Estima or similar.
