No, it isn't, and that is what I find strange. Any mention of it at all as an option for the Focus TDCi?

I have just had another look at the section on the Focus and I can't find it there in the Experience Focus sub-section, where it is mentioned in the section on the C-Max.

Look down the page:

Thanks for that, but why is it sort of hidden away? It is almost as though they don't really want people to know about it. It should be in the configurator section.

Really don't know, perhaps ask a dealer.

|
What I would like to know is has anyone driven one/owns one and is it any good?
|
|
I believe that there was a delay in launching the Focus version earlier this year, and problems getting the C-Max version, which some suggested was because all wasn't well with this gearbox.

Ford have had major supply issues with the gearbox, and Ford dealers have not been able to order the vehicles for around a year. Basically the story they gave is that the Bosch CVT gearbox is made in America and the whole supply was taken by the yanks. A couple of months ago ordering was possible and some units were supplied, but if you look at the 2006 model year price list for C-Max, only a 2.0 petrol auto is now available. I work in sales in a Ford dealer, and this has been, and still is a very frustrating issue, as it is a really smooth gearbox to drive and extreamly saleable.

So, supply is not meeting demand? Very odd that, as you would think that someone would have asked for the production to have been increased by now, if it is perhaps leading to lost sales.
|

Absolutley, it is so frustrating! I don't know if I'm just talking for our dealership, but we can't get enough of diesel autos, and at the moment all we have available to us is the Mondeo and a handful of nearly new C-max's if we are lucky. Infact we went to buy one from auction the other week and it made an absolute fortune!

Is the auto on the 2.0 litre a Ford box/someone else's.
